1.     Plan Your Placement Points For The Hardware

Begin your work by planning where to place the hardware accessories. Choose between Traditional Placement with the knobs centered and Modern Placement whose knobs are not centrally placed.

2.     Temporary Attach The Cabinet Hardware

Temporally attach the cabinet hardware by using an adhesive to get the overall view of what you expect. Make adjustments and take notes until you like what you see.

Alternatively, you can use a jig of the same size as the cabinet opening as your rough work material to plan your cabinet hardware.

3.     Mark The Drill Hole Points

Once you’ve made all the necessary adjustments, mark your hole points using a pencil. Use the jig and a ruler to help you target and even the points, respectively. You can as well indicate what to install in what hole mark. However, that’s only necessary if you have many accessories to install.

4.     Drill The Holes And Install Hardware

Finally, with a drill, make the holes in the marked points while using a tape measure to cover the spots you are not drilling. Start with small bit holes, then move up to the required size to avoid splintering the wood. When you install each accessory, ensure the pulls are facing you.
